Illustrating Haggerston

Haggerston feels a lot quiter & calmer than neighbouring Dalston & Shoreditch. The colours of some of the buildings are pale and washed-out, this made me think of creating illustrations in light colours, to show the quietness of the area, and also the neglect, as many buildings lay empty, waiting to be demolished.

Demolition – the area feels sad, with bordered-up windows on many of the flats.
