A wander around De Beauvoir Town

Today I photographed this unique district of London to help with experiments for my self-directed project. What fascinates me are the vast array of different architectural styles along with the almost village-like feel contrasted  with the noisy inner city that surrounds it.

Its dreamy suburbia…

De Beauvoir Estate

Lockner estate

Kingsgate estate

The house of the infamous mole-man.

The Dutch-gabled roofs of De Beauvoir Square.

Expertly-trimmed trees…

Palm trees…

I love your blog. Can I purchase your books on Hackney? I’m slightly obsessed with De Beauvoir and am thinking of moving there..many thanks. Sunny
